Persuasive Writing

I was learning to write a persuasive piece of writing. I can agree or disagree with a topic. I can provide reasons why I agree or disagree with a topic. It was tricky because I found it hard to come up wit reasons why I like chocolate better.

Making Connections

I was learning to make connections in a text.  I can compare a character to what they were like before big changes happened to them and what  they are like now. It was easy because the book described the character well.

Months Of The Year

I was learning to name and order the months of the year.  I  can name and order the months of the  year.   It was  easy because  I  was focusing on  my  work.                       

Narrative

I was learning to write a narrative piece of writing. I can write an introduction. I can describe the characters. It was easy because the pictures gave me clues on what to write about.

Summarise Information

I was learning to summarise information. I can find the main ideas in the text. I can identify the key ideas in the text. I can use the keywords and main idea to summarise information. It was tricky because I needed some help from the teacher.

Language Features

I was learning about different language features. I can expand some contractions and I can find the root words for words. It was tricky because I had not done this before so it was new to me. 

Geometry

I   was  learning  to  identify     2D      shapes. I  can     match   the     name    of      the    shape     to   the picture of the shape. It was easy because I know my 2D shapes well.

I was learning  to understand what  imperative verb are.  I   can  match  the  verb  to  its   action  It  was  easy  because  I  knew  what   each  kitchen  verb  ment

I was learning to show my understanding of what I was reading. I know how to answer questions about the text. It was easy because I understood what the book was about.

Adding Up To 20

I was learning to solve addition problems by counting all materials. I can join sets together and count up all the objects in the sets together.  It was easy to solve these addition problems because I was able to to add up all the balloons to get the answer.

I   was  learning  to  make  and  follow  a  plan    I   know  how  to   plan  for  my  writing  It  was  easy  to  plan  for  my  writing   because  my  story  was  all  about  me    and  my   likes  and  dislikes.
